Diplomatic Envoys Attend the Fourth Maritime Silk Road Tea Forum

The Fourth Maritime Silk Road Tea Forum was held from November 14 through 17 in Wuyishan City. Participants included Ivan Zyuulu, Zambia Ambassador to China, Suraya Ahmad Pauzi, Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou, and other diplomatic envoys.
On the first day of the Forum, Zhang Yan, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Fujian Committee, met with the participants. Zhang introduced Fujian’s efforts to promote tea culture, upgrade tea industry, and develop tea technology. He said that tea is an important carrier of Chinese culture and witness to cultural exchanges, and he encouraged participants to boost cultural exchanges, share in the benefits of Belt and Road cooperation, and contribute to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. Ambassador Zyuulu spoke highly of Fujian tea culture and expressed his readiness to learn more about Fujian and promote wide-range exchanges through this Forum.
On the sideline of the Forum, diplomatic envoys also visited Wuyishan National Park.
