A delegation of 20 think tank leaders and scholars from 14 Arab countries visited Fujian from September 6 to 10.

On September 9, Miao Yanhong, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Organization Department of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, met with the delegation. Miao noted that Fujian is an important birthplace and pilot ground of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. It is the eastern starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, and the core area of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. In recent years, Fujian has enjoyed fruitful exchanges and cooperation with Arab countries. The successful conclusion of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee demonstrated China’s commitment to further deepening reform comprehensively to advance high-quality development and high-level opening up. Based on its comparative strengths, Fujian is poised to explore new heights of opening up. All this provides new opportunities for greater exchanges and cooperation between China and Arab countries. Miao hoped that both sides will carry forward the spirit of China-Arab friendship, leverage respective think tank strengths, deepen practical cooperation, enhance strategic synergy, and contribute more wisdom and strength to the building of a China-Arab community with a shared future.

In Fujian, the delegation visited Quanzhou Maritime Museum, Qingjing Mosque, the Holy Tombs of Lingshan, and “Vision 3820” Development Strategy Exhibition.
