A 49-strong delegation of Peking University “Dongfang Scholarship” students visited Fujian from May 29 to June 2.

On June 1, Governor Zhao Long welcomed the delegation in Fuzhou. He said, Fujian is an important birthplace and practitioner of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. By visiting Xiamen, Quanzhou, Ningde, and Fuzhou, the delegation gained a first-hand insight into the important ideas and major practices President Xi Jinping created during his work in Fujian. Committed to the GDI, GSI, GCI and the BRI cooperation, Fujian is ready to strengthen people-to-people and business ties with other parts of the world.

In the five-day trip, the delegation visited the Hairun container terminal and Yundang Lake in Xiamen, the “Jinjiang Experience” exhibition hall and Anta Sports in Jinjiang, Quanzhou, the poverty alleviation exhibition, Xiaqi Village, and CATL in Ningde, and sat on a meeting of the Fu’an Party Committee. The last leg of the journey took the delegation to Fuzhou, where they visited the national Juncao center, Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, “3820” development strategy exhibition, and NetDragon Websoft.
