From January 24th to 26th, Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, former Serbian president and now president of Serbian national council for coordination with China, led an 11-member delegation to visit Xiamen City and Shanghang County in Fujian.  

The delegation explored the possibilities for cooperation in copper industry during its visit to Zijin Mining Group, and reached consensus with leaders of Xiamen and Longyan to keep up sound momentum of cooperation and seek more opportunities for common prosperity under the Belt and Road Initiative.   

Mr. Nikolic described the longtime Serbia-China friendship as firm as the Great Wall and the bilateral relations as best in history. 

The former president appreciated Fujian’s fast economic and social development and its important role in advancing the Belt and Road Initiative. He pledge his continued support to Serbia-Fujian cooperation in areas of trade, mining and people-to-people exchanges for the common good of both peoples.
