On March 20, Zhou Lianqing, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee met in Fuzhou with the delegation of Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDI-P) headed by its Marine Policy President Rokhmin Dahuri Ismail.  

Zhou welcomed the delegation and reviewed the longstanding friendship and growing exchanges between Fujian and Indonesia. Following the guiding principles from the 19^th CPC National Congress and the just concluded NPC and CPPCC sessions, Fujian is working faster to build the core area of the 21^st Century Maritime Silk Road under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. 

Zhou emphasized the crucial role that Indonesia played in the ancient Maritime Silk Road and called for joint efforts to strengthen party-to-party exchanges, information exchange, project alignment and cooperation on production capacity.  

Rokhmin underscored Fujian’s distinctive advantages and great potential for development. He hoped that both sides can build on the success of energy cooperation and strive to deliver greater achievements in cooperation on advanced manufacturing, education, and tourism.
