At the invitation of the provincial government, a delegation headed by Pavel Soltys, Vice Governor of Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic, paid an official visit to Fujian from 7 to 12 September. During these six days, the delegation visited Xiamen and Quanzhou, attended the 20th CIFIT and explored business opportunities with several export-oriented enterprises. 

The Czech Republic is the Guest-of- Honor country of this year's CIFIT. The Czech Pavilion at CIFIT displayed distinctive products such as crystals, automobiles and beer. Olomouc set up two booths to showcase its tourism resources, including World Cultural Heritage the Holy Trinity Column, historical buildings and beautiful natural scenery. 

In Xiamen, Mr. Lin Xuefeng, Deputy Director General of Fujian Foreign Affairs Office, met with Vice Governor Pavel. Both agreed to promote Fujian’s traditional Chinese medicine in Olomouc, and step up cooperation in health-related industries. Both governments would provide scholarships to young students to study in each other's universities and help Fujian ceramic enterprises find partners in Olomouc to explore the European market.
