A delegation of 12 media officials from Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defense, and National Security Service of Uzbekistan visited Fujian from December 1 to 4 under the auspices of the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan and Fujian FAO.

Uzbekistan is keen to learn from China in its bid to pursue greater reform and opening-up. At Fujian Daily Newspaper Group, and Fujian Radio, Film and TV Group, the delegation knew about how Fujian promoted the convergence of traditional and new media. They also visited top textile, tea and internet companies in Fujian, and made a tour to Binhai New City in the coastal district of Changle.

In Fuzhou, Chen Chuxin, Vice President of Fujian Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, briefed the delegation on Fujian’s progress in reform and opening-up, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, and cultural heritage preservation. Impressed by the trip, the delegation pledged to promote the Chinese experience of reform and opening-up in Uzbekistan and explore a development path in line with its national conditions.
