Singapore's Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Visits Fujian

A 60-member delegation led by Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth of Singapore visited Fujian from November 20 to 25.
Governor Tang Dengjie met with the Minister Fu in Fuzhou. Tang noted the sound foundation for cooperation between Fujian and Singapore and highlighted the broad prospects in the future. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on how to advance high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative by strengthening cooperation on economy, trade, port, culture, tourism and education and youth exchange.
In Fuzhou, Vice Governor Guo Ningning and Minister Fu attended the Singapore-China (Fujian) Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference and the signing ceremony of relevant cooperation agreements, as well as a naming ceremony of three oil tankers manufactured by Mawei Shipbuilding Ltd. In Quanzhou, the delegation attended the opening ceremonies of the 7th Nan’an Feng Shan International Festival of Culture & Tourism and 2019 Maritime Silk Road International Arts Festival, and visited Anta Group and some Singaporean companies. In Xiamen, Minister Fu opened the OCBC Bank Qiaopi culture exhibition and Singapore (Transfong) Deep Tech Park.
Minister Fu also discussed with leaders of the three cities respectively on topics like the growth of Singaporean companies invested in Fujian and young entrepreneurs, and cooperation in culture, film and TV industries, education and airport management.
