In an online meeting on March 2, Vice Governor Guo Ningning and Aníbal Gaviria Correa, Governor of Antioquia, Columbia, signed a letter of intent for the establishment of sister provinces. Chinese Ambassador to Columbia Lan Hu, Columbian Ambassador to China Luis Diego Monsalve, as well as heads of relevant departments of both provinces attended the event.

In their remarks, both Vice Governor Guo and Governor Correa saw the huge potential of the partnership and identified areas for future cooperation. Both sides reached the understanding on more win-win cooperation on industries, Covid-19 response and people-to-people exchanges to deliver tangible benefits to both peoples.
