The ASEAN-Fujian Universities and Think Tanks Cooperation Forum was held via video links on September 28, 2021. Co-hosted by FAO and the Education Department of Fujian Province, the Forum brought together over 30 delegates from across Fujian and AESEAN countries including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Their engaging discussions focused on marking the 30th anniversary of China-ASEAN Dialogue Relations, looking ahead to stronger China-ASEAN communication and cooperation in post-COVID era, boosting high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, ramping up joint international COVID response and restoring order in economy and society.

Delegates addressed the Forum from various perspectives and shared their inspiring insights in how to approach China-ASEAN cooperation going forward.

After speeches, Fujian Polytechnic Normal University signed Cooperation Framework Agreements with IPB University Bogor and IPMI International Business School respectively.

As the world stands as one and rises against COVID, Fujian hosted this Forum to link universities and think tanks from China and ASEAN in an endeavour to build international consensus, bring Fujian-ASEAN pragmatic cooperation to a higher level, and provide intellectual support for a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
