Soka Gakkai Delegation Visits Fujian

Soka Gakkai Senior Vice President Yoshiki Tanigawa led a six-member delegation to visit Fujian from June 2 to 3. The purpose of the trip was to exchange views on youth visit to Fujian under the memorandum on enhancing youth exchange between China and Japan.

 

On June 3, Vice Governor Wang Jinfu met with the delegation in Fuzhou. Both sides agreed to strengthen exchanges on social science, literary, art and youth, promote academic cooperation between Soka University and Fujian universities, and increase people-to-people visits.

 

The Soka Gakkai delegation visited Fujian Academy of Social Sciences, Fujian Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, Bingxin Literature Museum, and Fujian Strait Folk Art Museum.

 

Founded in Japan in 1930, Soka Gakkai is a global community-based Buddhist organization that promotes peace, culture and education. Its affiliated organizations include Tokyo Fuji Art Museum, Institute of Oriental Philosophy, and Min-On Concert Association.
