The China (Fujian) - Hungary Cultural Exchange Week was held from October 6 to 13 in Fuzhou in celebration of the 75th anniversary of China-Hungary diplomatic ties.
On October 6, Governor Zhao Long met with Hungarian officials and artists attending the event. Noting the profound historical and cultural heritage of Fujian and Hungary, he hoped that both sides will take this cultural exchange week as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in culture, tourism, and education.
The opening day featured the “Colourful Symphony of Light and Shadow” exhibition at Fujian Art Museum, displaying 40 selected works by Hungarian artist Ader Orsolya, whose Chinese name is Mulan, and Fujian artist Tang Chenghua.
As part of the exchange, Hungarian pianist Alex Szilasi presented “The Charm of Piano in the Orient” special concert, performing classical pieces by Chopin and Liszt at the Fujian Grand Theatre.
Jiang Erxiong, Vice Governor of Fujian Province, Tirts Tamás, Chief Advisor at Hungary’s Ministry of Culture and Innovation, and Válfi Péter, Consul General of Hungary in Guangzhou, attended relevant activities.
