At the invitation of China NGO Network for International Exchanges (CNIE), a delegation of 26 members from 22 countries, including political figures, think tank experts, and writers, visited Fujian from July 5 to 9. The purpose of their visit is to explore the cultural legacy, economic vibrancy, and the practice of Chinese modernization in Fujian.

On July 8, Zhang Yan, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, met with the delegation in Fuzhou. Noting that civilizations become richer and more colorful through exchanges and mutual learning, he hoped the delegation would fully experience the multifaceted manifestations of Chinese modernization through the window of Fujian. As the core area of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Fujian is ready to further leverage its strength to renew the traditional friendship with countries of delegation members, enhance people-to-people ties at all levels, increase communication and heart-to-heart connections, and expand cooperation across the board, in a bid to promote respective and shared prosperity.

During their stay in Fujian, the delegation learned about the development model of private sector as represented by Jinjiang Experience, the Xiamen practice of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, and the “Vision 3820” Strategic Plan for Fuzhou.
