Argentine Ambassador to China Sabino Vaca Narvaja and Consul General in Guangzhou Rafael Enrique Gonzalez Aleman visited Fuzhou from August 8 to 11. Guo Ningning, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor, met with the delegation on August 8.

Guo reviewed the fruitful results both sides had achieved in friendly exchange and pragmatic cooperation in various fields, and called for more cooperation in green energy, marine resources, heritage protection and people-to-people exchange through various activities organized by sister cities and business communities of both sides. Narvaja affirmed Argentina’s commitment to exchanges and cooperation with Fujian.

Both reached the understanding on expanding trade through cross-border e-commerce under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, and deepening cooperation in energy, tourism, and culture by taking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries as an opportunity.

During the stay in Fujian, Narvaja also met with Deputy Secretary of the CPC Fuzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor Wu Xiande, and discussed investment and business cooperation between Fujian and Argentina with South American Chamber of Commerce in Fujian and Haixia Capital.
