On October 16, Governor Zhao Long met in Fuzhou with a delegation led by Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, Greater Accra Regional Minister of Ghana. Vice Governor Wang Jinfu attended the meeting.

Zhao highlighted the ever closer exchanges and broad cooperation prospects between Fujian Province and the Greater Accra Region over the past decade since the establishment of the sister-province relationship. He expressed Fujian’s readiness to work with the Greater Accra Region to implement the important consensus reached by the presidents of the two countries, expand cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, infrastructure, and industrial manufacturing, further deepen sister-province and people-to-people exchanges, bring more benefits to the two peoples, and contribute more to the solid progress of China-Ghana strategic partnership.

Linda Ocloo expressed the hope to take the 10th anniversary of twinning as an opportunity to deepen friendly relations and expand practical cooperation within the frameworks of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. She welcomed more Fujian enterprises to invest and do business in the Greater Accra Region for mutual benefit and shared opportunities.
