Fujian and Sinaloa of Mexico to Cooperate on Juncao Technology

Fujian and Sinaloa of Mexico are to carry out cooperation on Juncao technology, according to an MOU signed online between the Secretariat of Agriculture and Livestock of Sinaloa and Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University on February 23. The partnership was formed by Jaime Montes Salas and Lan Siren on behalf of the two institutions under the auspices of the Chinese and Mexican foreign ministries, as well as Fujian Provincial Foreign Affairs Office (FAO).

Zhang Run, Chinese Ambassador to Mexico, Chen Guoquan, Deputy Director General of the provincial FAO, Lin Zhanxi, Chief Scientist of the National Juncao Technology and Engineering Research Center, Jesús Seade Kur, Mexican Ambassador to China, Octavio Jurado, general manager of the Mexican Association of Secretaries of Agricultural Development witnessed the signing online.
In his speech, Chen Guoquan said that the signing of the MOU is a concrete step to implement the consensus of the presidents of the two countries, and an action to promote common development and prosperity of the world and the building of a global community of shared future. With the cooperation of Juncao technology as starters, he called for more cooperation in agriculture, fishery, and ocean industries, and people-to-people exchanges between Fujian and Sinaloa.

Jaime Montes highly appreciated Juncao’s role in improving saline-alkali land, reducing feed costs, and cultivating edible fungi, and said Sinaloa will promote the industrialization of Juncao to help small and medium-sized farmers increase income and reduce poverty.
Both ambassadors believed that the cooperation will bring the two countries closer and enrich the comprehensive strategic partnership, and looked forward to a fruitful outcome of the cooperation at an early date.
