Delegation of Nagasaki Prefecture Visits Fujian

From November 24 to 25, a delegation from Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, led by Governor Kengo Oishi and Tokunaga Tatsuya, President of Nagasaki Prefecture Assembly visited Fujian.
Zhou Zuyi, Secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, and Zhao Long, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and Governor of Fujian Province met with the delegation. They had an in-depth exchange of opinions on wide-range issues covering cultural exchanges, trade and tourism cooperation, people-to-people friendship.
During their stay in Fujian, the delegation visited Wanfu Temple. Wanfu Temple lies on Mount Huangbo in Fuqing, the hometown of Yinyuan, a Master of Huangbo Sect of Buddhism. In 1654, Master Yinyuan visited Japan and founded Manpukuji, a temple considered as the origin of Huangbo Sect in Japan. After the visit, the delegation attended an exchange seminar on Huangbo culture, during which participants reaffirmed that Huangbo culture, the pearl in the annals of exchanges between China and Japan, is a shining example of China-Japan cultural exchanges and mutual learning.
Governor Kengo Oishi also took part in a Fujian-Nagasaki youth seminar and visited Kulangsu Island in Xiamen.
