Tun Thona, Cambodian Consul General in Guangzhou, led a government and business delegation to Fujian on July 8.

During his meeting with Consul General Tun Thona, Vice Governor Wang Jinfu stressed that this year marks the first year for implementing the Action Plan of Building a China-Cambodia Community with a Shared Future and China-Cambodia People-to-People Exchange Year. He called for closer economic, cultural, tourism, people-to-people and sister-city ties, and more exchanges and cooperation in health, education, and between youth. Tun Thona noted Cambodia’s longstanding friendship with Fujian, and expressed his readiness to facilitate trade in agriculture products and cooperation in culture, tourism and air transport.

During his stay in Fuzhou, Tun Thona held talks with Zheng Yu, Vice Mayor of Fuzhou, reaching initial understanding on a strategic cooperation framework agreement on direct flight between Fuzhou and Phnom Penh.
