On April 15, Vice Governor Zhao Zenglian met with Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Hajji, Consul General of Saudi Arabia in Guangzhou, in Fuzhou.

Zhao welcomed the delegation on behalf of the provincial government, briefed on Fujian’s economic and social development, and extended an invitation to the Saudi side to participate in the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade. 

During the meeting, the Vice Governor and the Consul General exchanged views on advancing practical cooperation. They agreed to leverage respective strengths to facilitate project collaborations in sectors such as petrochemicals, artificial intelligence, digital economy, and green energy. They expressed readiness to tighten economic and trade ties by boosting cross-border e-commerce, and expanding the import and export of high-quality products and large equipment. They also concurred to strengthen cooperation and friendship between Fujian and Saudi Arabia through closer people-to-people exchanges and joint cultural events.
